MARGAUX
MARGAUX
Margaux does not look like a private detective. Which is exactly what makes her a good one. She’s a bird and a gumshoe. And she’s definitely not a piker. When she was little she was obsessed with the Encyclopedia Brown books. She could not get enough. And then in 2006 the first Enola Holmes book came into her life and she knew what she was going to spend the rest of her life doing. By the time she graduated from high school she’d also graduated to hard boiled detective novels of the 30’s and 40’s, and maybe picked up a bit of slang that marked her among her peers as a bit of an odd job. Her parents were less than enthusiastic, concerned that being a PI might not be the best trajectory for a young impressionable owl, so they compromised. Margaux enrolled at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. When she graduated though, the first thing she did was apply for a job at the storied Pinkerton Agency, where one of her heroes, Kate Warne, the first female detective in the US, had worked. If they were willing, to hire a woman in 1856, that was good enough for Margaux. She worked intelligence and investigative analyses at Pinkerton for 5 years. She was extremely good at her job and quickly climbed the ranks. But what Margaux yearned for was an agency of her own. So she left and opened her own agency, Margaux PI. Her name is on the door, her parents are proud, word of mouth travels fast, and best of all, no one suspects an owl!
Margaux is approximately 7” tall
