THORSTEN
THORSTEN
Thorsten grew up in Norway. When he was in 6th grade he was one of the 1,000 students who participated in a project of the explorer Aleksander Gamme who took paper planes constructed by Norwegian 6th and 7th graders to the top of Everest and flew them from the summit. He followed Gamme’s career and when the video of Gamme finding a box he burred in the snow on his solo trip to the South Pole was released, Thorsten and his mom began to go on multi-day hiking adventures where they would bury their own treasures along the way knowing they would come back another time and find them. Thorsten began telling everyone he met about the cheese doodles guy and urging them to watch the video. He’d never seen that kind of joy before. Thorsten is an ardent practitioner of Nordic Friluftsliv (open air living) and runs a local chapter of Den Norske Turistforening, the Norwegian , Trekking Association. He likes nothing better than taking a group of 6th graders out on a day long trek and accidentally ‘discovering’ a hidden box of cheese-doodles and chocolate at the end.
Thorsten is approximately 6” tall
